OCT / ANGIO OCT

OCT or optical coherence tomography is a method of screening for yellow spot diseases or macula and optic nerve diseases

OCT does the scanning of retinal layers which highlights the changes that occur as a result of different diseases.

Nowadays without OCT we cannot imagine diagnostics and correct treatment of retinal diseases in general and especially of yellow spot diseases or macula in particular.
OCT is used for these diseases: senile degeneration of the macula, diabetic retinopathies, fibro vascular membrane of different nature, etc.

To see further problems of the retina that cannot be identified only with OCT we also have Angio OCT as a modality, this imaging method, which helps visualize blood vessels in the retina.
