Ultrasound Echography

Nidek US 4000 Echoscan – Ultrasound

In cases where it is not possible to examine the inside of the eye (fundus), this device is used, where the inside of the eye can be seen by means of ultrasound and we can ascertain possible damages inside the eye.

Two devices containing three probes have been installed in our center.

The first probe (A scan) serves to measure the axial length – for determining the intraocular lens. The other probe (B scan) serves to examine the (fundus) inside the eye. As well as the third probe, it is used to measure asymmetry (thickness of the cornea).
